Has this happened to you or some other person you know before?

People get into a relationship, have fun, enjoy each other, break up, move on, and meet again. It's almost like destiny is playing a game.

So why do men do this? 

Don't worry, sometimes even men don't understand what they are doing but they do it anyway. Ask any good detective and they can tell you that most good criminals like to go back and check on the crime scene. For some reasons, this is the same with men with broken relationships.

But why do men reappear, you ask? Well, there are a number of possible reasons why men come back after a breakup. Here is a list of the reasons:

1. He wants to let you know he's changed and become a better person.

Men know when they're the reason why a relationship broke down. They are affected by these things more than women expect them to be. Because of this, men like to go back to a person they've wronged before just to show that they've changed.

Maybe they were childish or irresponsible before but that boy might have changed into a real man. It may not necessarily be as a form of mockery but more of a reality check.

Meeting an old partner may force some forgotten memories that will remind him of what he no longer has and he may want to rekindle a lost romance as a better man.

2. He wants to know if you've changed.

This is pretty elementary but people hardly get this reason. It can mean two things — one would be that we just want to check up on an old flame and the second one would be to prove to himself that he is better off today than before.

The second one is more common though. A lot of men like to prove to themselves that it was not their fault when they broke up. When a man sees an old flame and realizes that she's still the very same person, it gives them a false sense of victory.

3. He wants control back.

That's why they like to drive more than often. This is also the reason why most men like to have control over their relationships. 

Many guys reminisce and remember a good time when they had an unhealthy control of whatever was around them, including their women. When you try to think about this, it's only obvious that men like to look back and check in on a woman they've controlled before.

This is not the case for everyone but there's a small handful this applies to. This goes hand in hand with their deep need to win. 

4. He wants to win you back.

Rarely, men admit to themselves that they've lost and are ready to win back the girl they love. This happens when a man messes things up with a person they really like. They go away, re-trace, and realize that they made the biggest mistake of their lives.

When this happens, a man might reappear and hope that he still has that reserved spot he left behind. This is most women's favorite reason of why he reappears — he has had time in his cave and realizes you are his one and only.
