While the K-Pak is not the first packable boat, it is the first that can be packed into a single unit, rather than requiring a number of different bags to carry the pieces. The boat features an aluminum frame integrated inside the tough, poly fabric skin, which means the frame stays inside the skin for a faster setup and pack down. The seat and floor inserts can be inflated with a hand pump, and the entire unit weighs only about 21.
